The Allentown Department of Parks & Recreation is offering free pickleball instruction to youth (10+) and adults at Andre Reed (Irving) pickleball/tennis courts on the city’s east side.
Instruction is offered from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on:
- Saturday, September 11 (youth instruction ages 10-18)
- Saturday, September 18 (adult instruction)
- Saturday, September 25 (youth/adult)
Sessions are open to residents and non-residents.
Pickleball instruction will be led by a member of the PCI (Pickleball Coaching International) with assistance from veteran instructors in the Lehigh Valley.
The first hour will be instruction/introduction of the game and the last hour will be supervised play.
All participants are encouraged to pre-register online at www.allentownparksandrec.com or on site.
Outdoor pickleball courts are located at Andre Reed (Irving) and Roosevelt parks in the city.
Participants are urged to follow all current CDC and Pennsylvania Department of Health COVID-19 guidelines during play.
