Hometown Heroes will be honored starting Memorial Day weekend
BETHLEHEM, PA — Starting today through April 1, ArtsQuest and Embassy Bank invite the community to submit photos of family members, neighbors and friends who have served or are currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces for the 11th annual ‘Our Hometown Heroes’ display at SteelStacks, starting Memorial Day weekend, May 29-31, and lasting through July 4th. Over the past 10 years, more than 1,600 images of local servicemen and women from all branches of the military have been on display to honor our hometown heroes.
Submissions for ‘Our Hometown Heroes’ are being accepted at this link through April 1. Photos should be high-resolution images in one of the file formats: jpeg, tiff, bitmap or PDF file.
Each submitted photo will be displayed on one of the ‘Our Hometown Heroes’ banners on the SteelStacks campus and include the soldier’s rank, branch, dates of service and hometown. All images submitted in previous years will automatically be displayed as part of the ‘Our Hometown Heroes’ display. As part of the display of ‘Our Hometown Heroes,’ Embassy Bank and ArtsQuest are also inviting the public to attend “A Time to Remember” Memorial Day event May 31, 3 p.m., at Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks. Reservations for the ceremony can be made later this spring at www.steelstacks.org/memorial-day.
“We are excited to honor all members of the Armed Forces who have dedicated themselves to protecting and serving the United States,” said Embassy Bank CEO, President and Chairman Dave Lobach Jr. “What began a decade ago, has become an event at the SteelStacks campus that we look forward to every year.”
Additional details on the 2021 Memorial Day events and activities at SteelStacks will be available later this spring at www.steelstacks.org/memorial-day.
