NETA Recognized Lehigh Valley Public Media in 12 Categories
Bethlehem, PA.– December 1, 2020 – Lehigh Valley Public Media has been nominated as a finalist in National Educational Telecommunications’ Public Media Awards.
Lehigh Valley Public Media received 12 finalist nominations in 11 categories including: In the category of Educational Resources for the Community, booknooks; In the category of Education/In-Person Learning Events, summer series; In the category of Community Engagement – National Project, country music.
In the category of Community Engagement: Local Project, Finding Your Roots; In the category of COVID-19 Community Engagement, It’s Camp!; In the category of Content – Historical Documentary, Forged in Steel: Roots of American Soccer; In the category of News & Public Affairs,Community Conversation: Vaping – Inhaling the Unknownand PBS39 News Tonight; In the category of Podcast, You Bet Your Garden: Is Your Garlic in the Ground?; In the category of Short Form,In Pursuit of Perfection; In the category of Marketing/Communication – Special Event, Sesame Street 50th; And finally, in the category of Integrated Media Campaign, Lehigh Valley Reads Million Minute Challenge.

The NETA Awards, (now the Public Media Awards), honors members’ achievements in education, community engagement, marketing/communication and content.
The awards will be presented in January 2020 during the annual NETA Conference and CPB Public Media Thought Leaders Forum.
