ALLENTOWN, PA September 4, 2020 – The Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley (PCFLV) is once again running their 30 Days,30 Stories® series during the month of September to highlight local pediatric cancer warriors during Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month.

This series is on the PCFLV website (pcflv.org) and on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Each day, a child’s photo and story is posted to showcase local kids who are battling cancer, have battled cancer, or have passed away from cancer. Stories are written by parents, cancer kids themselves or close family members.

“30 Days, 30 Stories® is an amazing and impactful series that we look forward to producing each year,” said PCFLV Executive Director and Cancer Mom Michelle Zenie. “We love sharing our kids and their stories with the community. Awareness leads to action, and we feel like there is no better time to showcase our kids than during Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month.”

PCFLV is a local non-profit providing free and unique programming and services to local pediatric cancer patients and their families, including support groups, a week-long summer camp called Camp Smile, gas/grocery/hospital cafeteria and EZPass gift cards, college and trade school scholarships, housecleaning, an end-of-life stipend, and much more. PCFLV has distributed over $10,000 in gift cards over the past 6 months, and provided over 400 meals to our families.

So far in 2020 in the Lehigh Valley, 26 children have been diagnosed with cancer, seven kids have relapsed, and one child has passed away. The mission of PCFLV is to help all of our local families, no matter where they are on their cancer journey.
