ANTINANCO EARTH ARTS SCHOOL, Bath is seeking local volunteers, youth groups, high school and undergrad students to participate in the tree planting event on September 27, from 10AM – 6PM, where we will be planting 25 American Chestnut trees at The Lee and Virginia Graver Arboretum of Muhlenberg College in Bath, PA. The project includes educational presentations by environmental and reforestation experts, and the distribution of educational materials on environmental literacy, sustainability, reforestation, and tree planting. In addition, a field course to high school and undergrad students will be offered. Community service certificates are available upon request. AMERICAN RED CROSS PA RIVERS CHAPTER is recruiting Shelter Service Associates to fill temporary positions before, during and/or after a disaster event this hurricane/wildfire season who would complete tasks necessary for operations in day-to-day activities within a shelter which may include working in reception, registration, feeding, dormitory, information, or other areas within a shelter, including willingness to work in a COVID-19 shelter. In order to provide this service, we need volunteer drivers to help us with the increasing demand for rides. All rides in Lehigh Valley only. Drive when and where you want. No minimum hours required. LEHIGH COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY, Bethlehem is currently looking for volunteers to help care for 4 cats that will be up for adoption at PetSmart in Bethlehem. I am looking for 2 volunteers for each 8-10AM shift and 5-7PM shift. Volunteer for one or more shifts throughout the month of August. Each shift would feed, clean, scoop, and socialize with the cats. Min age 14 with adult supervision.

MUSEUM OF INDIAN CULTURE, Allentown is looking for volunteers to clean up the gardens at the Museum of Indian Culture and get it ready for a small Artifact show on 8/15. We would be able to accommodate helpers weekdays or weekends for this social distancing and fun way to connect with nature and get service hours! We are looking for help throughout the week Monday-Sunday 10-4. All ages and group sizes welcomed; under 16 must come with parents. Tools available but welcomed to bring your own.
