BETHLEHEM, PA— As part of the family fun at Musikfest, Crayola is partnering with ArtsQuest for a coloring contest featuring the official Musikfest 2020 poster artwork created by artist and illustrator Doug Boehm. The coloring contest is one of the many visual arts activities being offered this year as part of the virtual festival.
As part of the Musikfest poster coloring contest, Crayola and ArtsQuest will be offering daily prizes featuring Crayola products, as well as one grand prize awarded at the end of the festival. Families can download coloring sheets at www.musikfest.org/lineup/
In keeping with its family focus, Musikfest has also developed free Take-Home Art Kits that families can pick up to engage in art activities during the festival. The art kits can be picked up at the Banana Factory daily Aug. 3-7 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. In addition, the ArtsQuest Visual Arts Team is developing a series of daily videos that will teach families how to create artwork based on common objects found around the home. Videos will be posted online at www.musikfest.org.
“Crayola has been a long-time partner with ArtsQuest and is excited to bring creativity, fun and color to Musikfest virtually this year,” says Colleen Mooney McGee, Crayola Manager of Community & Government Relations. “The Musikfest Poster coloring contest allows children and families to creatively express themselves and engage in activities they have traditionally enjoyed during Musikfest. The Crayola take-home art kits are a fun and safe way to recreate that experience in the backyard, kitchen, or any space without compromising the Musikfest celebration.”

– “See You Soon!” Postcard Community Art Project presented by Provident Bank and Crayola

The largest free music festival in the nation, Musikfest is made possible thanks to the support of the City of Bethlehem, Bethlehem Redevelopment Authority, Bethlehem Area School District, Northampton County, the support of the corporate community and more than 1,600 volunteers and 3,300 supporting members.
Musikfest 2020 will take place July 31-Aug. 9. This year’s festival will include 40 concerts shown via Musikfest.org as part of Virtual Musikfest, 40 performances by bands performing live from the Service Electric TV studios and an on-site food and beverage experience at SteelStacks that will include 10 Musikfest favorite food vendors.
