Providing relief due to unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic

Allentown, Pa., July 21, 2020 – Cetronia Ambulance Corps, the region’s leader in emergency medical services and transportation, is pleased to announce a charitable contribution in the amount of $15,000 from Buckeye Partners, L.P. (“Buckeye”). A formal check presentation was made today.

Buckeye, which is headquartered in Houston, TX with a large regional presence in Breinigsville and Macungie, Pa., recently announced that the global company committed $1 million to various charities that were chosen by its employees to aid organizations that have been impacted by COVID-19. “Buckeye is committed to empowering its teams. Our Breinigsville office personnel, like all our regional teams, selected a small group of great local charities to receive donations,” said Buckeye Partners EVP Robert A. Malecky. “Cetronia Ambulance Corps is a select First Responder that has served our community admirably for many years including through the current COVID crisis. We are proud to support their service to our community.” Breinigsville-based employees voted for their top charities in two categories: Humanitarian Efforts and First Responders/Medical Personnel. Cetronia Ambulance Corps was one of five Lehigh Valley non-profit organizations to receive equal contributions.

“This is a very sizable charity donation for our Corps. We want to recognize the importance this has made and that we are very gracious to have been selected. The effects to our organization from COVID-19 are much more than a financial hardship, but have also been an emotional burden to our associates. It will take us a long while to fully recover. We continue to remain positive and know that every dollar contributed is one step closer to helping us save as many lives as possible in our community. We are lucky to be able to serve so many great companies and individuals,” said Cetronia Ambulance Corps Interim CEO Bob Mateff.
