National Hot Dog Day in July Celebrates a Summertime staple on a bun. Enjoy one piping hot and add some relish, mustard, grilled onions or whatever tickles your fancy! One thing we want to know – is it a sandwich or not? My Vote is……..Yes, it’s a Sandwich, indeed (at least in my book)!
Celebrated every year during National Hot Dog Month, this day pays homage to the Frankfurter, the Footlong or Wienie, Wiener, Wienerwurst or even the Red Hot. They taste just as great no matter what we call it. Over 25 million Hot Dogs are sold at baseball stadiums each year.
There are many ways to Prepare and Serve:
Grilled
Roasted over a Fire (mmmmmm)
Boil,
Pan-fry
Rotisserie-cook
The list of toppings are numerous – from the basic Ketchup, Mustard or Relish to Onions, Mayo, Asst. Cheeses, Bacon, Chili, Sauerkraut, Salsa, Guacamole, Bruschetta, – the list keeps growing.
Here we have Chopped & Sliced Bacon, Shredded Cheeses, Salsa, Sliced Pickles, Guacamole.
Check out these Crazy Combinations!
