ALLENTOWN, PA (June 23, 2020) — Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network has launched an online survey to understand how the lives of people with spinal cord injury have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The short survey, which must be completed by July 15, 2020, is open to anyone with a spinal cord injury. The survey seeks a variety of information about quality of life and overall well-being for people with spinal cord injury including:
- Demographics
- Exercise program
- Emotional well-being
- Pain
- Current health status
“COVID-19 is challenging enough for the general public, but it can be especially challenging for people with spinal cord injury who might not be able to access services and care that they routinely need to maintain their quality of life,” says Mary G. Brownsberger, PsyD, ABPP, director of Psychology at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network. “This survey, which is voluntary and completely anonymous, can provide valuable insight and help us understand more specifics about the coronavirus’ impacts on one’s everyday life and health.”
Follow-up surveys will occur in December 2020 and June 2021 to gauge ongoing impact.
